The AIRFLOW-2 Clinical Trial uses a catheter-based system called the Nuvaira™ Lung Denervation System to address chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The system is used to treat the overactive airway nerves in a procedure called Targeted Lung Denervation (TLD). This one-time bronchoscopic procedure uses a special catheter, the dNerva™ Dual Cooled Radiofrequency Catheter, to provide an ablative therapy that opens obstructed airways to improve breathing and has the potential to provide lasting whole lung improvement. Targeted Lung Denervation is only available under clinical investigation.
